EUROPEAN CULTURAL PATRIMONY

The theme of the project is cultural, attempt to notice the difference and the cultural richness of every people, developing the spirit of respect toward their values, contributing to the struggle against the racism and xenophobia. The realization of this project will increase the standard of the knowledge of the foreign languages of international circulation and also of those that are less known, for the communication among pupils within the project and also out of the project. The project will be represented by a web page and accordingly, the pupils will be stimulated to use the modern techniques of information and  communication , giving an educational value to the internet and, at the same time they will be encouraged to communicate with the pupils of other schools participanting to the project through this (internet).

 

Our project consists in the realization of a multicultural, multilingual electronic magazine on the internet site, which will have a varied contents: the presentation of the school, the presentation of the country (the presentation of the interested touristic places ), traditions, cultural events (of the school, city, country), science and technique (the presentation of  personalities of various fields: medicine, biology, mathematics, physics, chemistry and others), art (famous poets, painters, musicians and others),  sport (the presentation of the sporting activities of the school or country). The articles of the magazine will be archived by  pupils, with the guidance of their teachers of different specialties, giving in this way the possibility to every pupil of expressing himself according  to his/her abilities; through a selection control by the teachers some of these articles will be published, more numbers of the magazine being achived. Another chapter will be the section of mail for all. The pupils will be encouraged to express their opinions in the articles, to make propositions, or ask for supplementary information in different fields , about certain events, characters, etc. facilitating the communication between them through the internet, in different languages.

The articles will be translated into the languages of the participating countries. Every year 2 numbers of the magazine will be elaborated which will be recorded on the CD essuring, in this way, the maintenance of the didactic material and also the possibility for publicity.    

 

PROJECT CONTENT and ORGANISATION

Our project has the following aims:

a) To improve the cultural knowledge of the children and to discover the similarities and the differences between the different European cultures – feeling that only through education we can breach boundaries and improve respect for and understanding of the cultural values of each country.

b) To build strong relationships between the pupils and the teachers – we will organize groups of journalists who will process the articles that will be published. The pupils of those groups will be of different ages : they will be girls and boys of different religions and nationalities of the participating schools. We wish to stimulate  group work in order to achieve the group’s objective.

c) To increase the knowledge of the foreign languages of the pupils and teachers, languages of international use as principal means of communication among them and also the information about the less known languages.

d) To stimulate and increase the use of the new technologies -the computer – by the pupils and teachers too in the cultural and educational purpose ; this is necessary because we want to publish 2 numbers of the magazine every year and at the end of every year we will record a C.D. with the published articles.

Our activitis will carry on within 3 years and will be various in order to give the possibility of a greate number of the pupils to participate directly at that project – our intention is to offer our pupils ( that have different capacity and talents) the possibility of express themselves.

 

A. The activities in the school

A part of the activities will be developed during the whole year because our magazine will have 2 numbers/years and the other activities will be developed at the end of the year.

The summary of the magazine will be announced by the teachers during the classes and  the pupils will be informed  that they could participate at any moment of the year in that kind of work:

a) we will  organize drawing competitions on certain themes (traditions, landscape, historical, artistic and folklore monuments).

b) The pupils will be encouraged to elaborate the articles of the magazine, articles about legends, tradition, folklore, cultural events of their own school, citty or country, scientific and technical events of the past and  present, about rapresentative cultural European personalities.

c) The articles will be translated in to different languages. The elaboration of the articles will be done on the computer.

At the end of the year we desire:

a) To present, at the school celebration, specific songs of the countries participating in the project.

b) That all the participating schools at that project will elaborate a panel (poster) with images considered, by commun accord, rapresentative for the publicity of the partnership.

c) That all the schools should organize activities for project publicity.

d) To evaluate the impact on the pupils, teachers,  parents, other schools and local authorities.

e) At the end of every year's project a C.D. will be product containing all the material present in the magazine.
